It started after hearing her boyfriend talk about a new Quarterback for the University of Georgia. Stetson "The Mailman" Bennett. Who started his college recruitment with a US MAIL cap because he "always delivers" victories. Later that day, after sitting down with fellow writer Stephanie Nash- this song came to be. Released on the tail end of COVID19, when everyones mailman was their best friend. After playing "The Mailman" around Nashville writers rounds, the response to it was undeniable. Samee went to release "The Mailman" in February 2022. It's music video was released shortly after and even made a  featured on CMT.com artist video webpage!

Whether its the infectious guitar lick that starts off the song, or the upbeat chorus that leaves you wanting to sing along.. This song is everything you could want for a windows down drive. From referencing their 2 wheel drive mail trucks, to nods at US MAIL carriers like their slogan "Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail shall keep the postmen from their appointed rounds.." (just, in less words) this song is sure to be a success as Samee's debut single.
