Samee got together with cowriter Maura Streppa in Nashville TN and started writing a completely different song. After about 45 minutes they both decided it wasnt the direction they were thinking but began talking about their shared love of a relaxing breath after a long hard day. So thats what they wrote. It morphed into a lot more than the expected subject matter. Once in the studio, it became a feeling more than anything. Using stripped back intro and verses, builds into the monumental final chorus that makes for quite the fun ride. Using guitar, mandolin and even organ- this track is outlaw country in every sense of the word.
This song is riding the long way home with the window cracked. It gets in your head and scratches that itch. It screams "outlaw country" and "backwoods country" from hook, to line, to sinker. Even if you aren't one to partake in the subject matter- you enjoy the song from start to finish.
